Stamping of Bronze Terminal for the Automotive Industry

Bronze Terminal

A customer contracted with Herd Manufacturing Inc. to produce 6 million phosphorous bronze terminals per year. Designed for use in an automotive application, we stamped this terminal from phosphorous bronze material that was .020" thick. We applied tin plating as a finish and bulk packed the order for delivery. Our tolerances were maintained at ±.001" throughout the process and we worked with the inventory capacities of our customer to develop a schedule for just-in-time delivery. Located in the Carolinas, this customer had maintained this high-volume annual order with us for several years.

For information about our progressive and compound stamping services, including blanking, coining, and continuous stripping, please contact Herd Manufacturing.
