Stamping of a Bronze Calotte Lock Spring for the Electronics Industry
Designed for use within the electronics industry, this calotte lock spring was stamped from phosphorus bronze. Designed for a component to hold a calotte bearing in place without damage to either the calotte or the lock, the lock spring needed properties of both strength and flexibility. The material had a thickness of .004" and the spring was produced from drawings supplied by the customer. The order totaled 120,000 units and was bulk packed for shipping to the customer in Europe. Our manufacturing tolerances were maintained to ±.002" and we completed the order by the required delivery date.
